It sits beside Silicon Oasis and Academic City, it is among the cheapest places in Dubai to buy a new flat, and it is one of the busiest off-plan markets in the city for exactly that reason. DLRC stands for Dubailand Residence Complex, the name also written as Dubai Land Residence Complex.
The place
The district lies along the Dubai to Al Ain road with Silicon Oasis on one side, Liwan and the desert on another and the academic district nearby. Its buildings are mid-rise and, increasingly, high-rise, on a grid of wide roads, with a lake and parks at the centre and retail at ground level along the main streets. Much of the plan is built; a good deal is still under construction, and the district's roads carry the traffic of both.
