What it costs to buy in Dubai

Everything a buyer pays on top of the price, in cash, on completion. The DLD figures are regulation; the rest is what the market does.

The rules

How much deposit a Dubai mortgage needs

Set by the UAE Central Bank, not by the bank you borrow from. A lender may ask for more; it may not accept less.

  • The term runs to twenty-five years at most and must end by age 65, or 70 if you are self-employed.
  • The repayment, with every other loan and card you carry, may not exceed half your monthly income.
  • Early settlement is capped at 1% of the outstanding balance or AED 10,000, whichever is lower.
