What we collect, what we do with it, and what we never do. Written to be read.

This policy explains what McCone Properties does with the personal details you give us, and the details this website collects on its own, when you browse the site, enquire about a property, or apply to work with us. It is written to be read, not filed. If anything in it is unclear, ask us at the address above and a person will answer.
What we collect, and why
- When you enquire through the site: your name, your phone number, the email address you choose to give, what you want to do (buy, rent, sell or let), anything you write in the message box, and the page you were on when you sent it. We use these to answer you, to put the right agent on it, and to keep a record of the conversation.
- When you message us on WhatsApp: your number, the name on your WhatsApp profile, your messages, and the listing you asked about. Your first message opens a record in our system so the agent who looks after that property can reply to you.
- When you call us: the number you call from, so we can call you back.
- When you enquire through a property portal: PropertyFinder, Bayut and Dubizzle pass us the name, number, email and message you left on our advert there. The portal's own privacy policy covers what it does with your details on its side.
- When you apply for a job: your name, email and phone number, your nationality and where you live now, your answers to our screening questions, your CV if you attach one, why you want to join, and which advert or job board sent you to us. We use these to consider you for a role, and to see which adverts bring us good people.
- When you become a client: the further details a transaction needs. Dubai's real estate regulator and the UAE's anti-money-laundering law require a brokerage to verify who it is dealing with, so we will ask for a copy of your passport or Emirates ID, your visa, proof of your address and, for a purchase, proof of where the funds come from.
- Automatically, when you visit: the address your device connects from and the pages it asks for, in our hosting provider's logs, and anonymous measurements of how quickly pages load. We do not run advertising trackers or an analytics suite on this site, and we set no cookies for either. Our cookie policy says exactly what the site stores in your browser, which is very little.
What we never do
We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to a mailing list. An enquiry gets a person, not a newsletter. An agent may follow up on something you asked about by phone or WhatsApp; if you would rather they did not, say so and they will stop.
Who sees your details
- Our own team: the agent handling your enquiry, the customer-service desk, our recruiters for job applications, and the people who look after our systems.
- The companies that run our systems for us, under contracts that bind them to protect your details: Vercel, which hosts this website; Supabase, which hosts our database; Meta Platforms and 360dialog, which carry our WhatsApp Business messages; and Google, which provides our email. A job application sent through LinkedIn or Indeed also passes through that board.
- Authorities, when the law requires it: the Dubai Land Department, the Real Estate Regulatory Agency and, for anti-money-laundering reporting, the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit.
- People you ask us to introduce you to, such as a mortgage adviser, a conveyancer or a developer, and only once you have asked.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Where your details are kept
This website runs on Vercel's network and our database is hosted by Supabase in Mumbai, India, so your details are stored outside the UAE. We choose providers with recognised security certifications and contractual data-protection terms, and we send them only what the service needs.
How long we keep them
- An enquiry that does not lead to a transaction: up to two years after we last hear from you, so we can pick the conversation up if you come back.
- A transaction, and the identity documents that go with it: at least five years after the deal completes, which is what UAE anti-money-laundering and commercial-records law requires of a brokerage.
- A job application: up to twelve months, unless you join us or ask us to delete it sooner.
- Server logs: a few weeks, on a rolling basis, held by our hosting provider.
When the period ends we delete the record, or strip it of anything that identifies you.
Your rights
UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data gives you the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to withdraw consent you have given, and to receive a copy in a usable format. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you have equivalent rights under the GDPR, and you may complain to your local supervisory authority as well as to the UAE Data Office.
To use any of these rights, email us at the address above. We answer within a month and do not charge for it. We may need to confirm you are who you say you are before we release or change anything.
Children
This site is for adults looking for property or for work. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us some, tell us and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
When we change how we use your details, we update this page and the date at the top of it. A change that needs your consent will ask for it.
