The guide
Living in Remraam
Remraam is a community of low-rise apartment buildings on Al Qudra Road beside Town Square, built by Dubai Properties as one of the city's first affordable communities on the desert side, and still one of its cheapest. Its buildings are a few floors high around courtyards and pools, its streets are quiet, and its residents are the young families and tenants who wanted a flat with a garden outside it at a price the city's inner districts stopped offering long ago.
The place
The community lies on Al Qudra Road beyond Arabian Ranches and Mudon, with Town Square beside it and the desert behind. Its buildings are grouped in two quarters around courtyards, pools and parks, with a small retail centre carrying the supermarket and the cafes, and the communities around it supplying the rest. Town Square's park and strip are a short drive.
What you get
Apartments only, from studios to family layouts, in the developer's original low-rise buildings, alike in plan and finish and differing by quarter, position and management. There are no villas and no towers.
Who it suits
Tenants and first-time buyers who want a flat with green outside it at the lowest price on this side of the city, and who will accept the drive. Investors, whose yields here have been among the stronger in the belt.
It suits people less well who work in the centre, who need public transport, or who want new-build finish.
Buying and renting here
The community's uniform stock gives the register a clean record, and the tables on this page show what each layout has actually fetched, with every building's own page beneath. Buyers should read the owners' association and the service charge before the price. There is little off-plan here. For tenants, the official index caps a renewal while a new lease follows the market.
