The guide
Dubai Media City is the free zone where the region's broadcasters, agencies and publishers keep their offices, on the inland side of the Marina, and most of it is offices. A few residential buildings sit at its edges, on the lake and towards the Marina, and they trade as some of the best-placed flats in the city for anyone who works in the district or beside it.
The district lies between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Sufouh Road, with Internet City beside it, Knowledge Park and the Palm's approach on another side and the Marina a walk away. Its office buildings stand around a lake and an amphitheatre with cafes and restaurants at their feet; the residential buildings sit at the edges near the Marina and the highway, with the Metro's stations on the highway edge.
Apartments from studios to large layouts in a small number of buildings, several of them serviced or hotel-branded, with the Marina's skyline and the lake in the windows of the better ones.
People who work in the free zones and want to walk to the desk. Tenants who want the Marina's life at the district's rents. Owners who intend to let to the same people, whose demand is steady.
It suits people less well who want a neighbourhood, green, or a school in reach.
The residential buildings are few enough that each trades on its own record, and the tables on this page should be read building by building; every building has its own page with what its layouts actually fetched. There is little off-plan here. For tenants, the official index caps a renewal while a new lease follows the market.
