The guide
Living in Reem
Reem is Emaar's townhouse community on Al Qudra Road between Arabian Ranches 2 and the desert, better known by the names of its two neighbourhoods, and one of the city's busiest markets for family townhouses. It was built to the developer's usual pattern, parks, pools and a community centre, and it filled with the families who wanted the Ranches' standard at a townhouse price.
The place
The community lies on Al Qudra Road with Arabian Ranches 2 beside it, Mudon and Town Square nearby and the desert behind. Its two neighbourhoods are loops of townhouses around parks and pools, with a community centre carrying the supermarket and the cafes and the Ranches' schools a short drive. The trees have grown in and the community is settled.
What you get
Townhouses in the developer's standard layouts, from compact to large, with gardens, some extended or refitted by their owners. There are no apartments and no villas of the Ranches' size. The neighbourhoods differ by age and position; the register records a narrow spread.
Who it suits
Families who want an established townhouse with a garden near the Ranches' schools at a price below the Ranches. Tenants for the same reason, of whom there are many. Buyers who want a house to live in from a developer whose communities have proved themselves.
It suits people less well who work in the centre or who want an apartment or a large villa.
Buying and renting here
The community's uniform stock gives the register a clean and deep record, and the tables on this page show what each layout has actually fetched. The register files a house sold with its plot against the plot, and this page reads those sales correctly. There is no off-plan here. For tenants, the official index caps a renewal while a new lease follows the market.
