Emirates Golf Club

Emirates Golf Club is the city's oldest championship course, the one with the tented clubhouse beside Sheikh Zayed Road, and it is a club rather than a community. A single residential building beside it carries the club's name on the register, and its flats trade as a small market of their own for people who want the course in the window.

The place

The club lies between Sheikh Zayed Road and the Greens, with the Views' buildings on its fairways, the Lakes and the Meadows behind and the Marina and the free zones minutes away. Its two courses, its clubhouse and its academy fill the site; the residential building sits at its edge with the course on one side and the Greens' souk a short walk.
