The guide
Culture Village is the developer-built quarter on the creek at Al Jaddaf: a fashion house's palace hotel, a set of towers and low-rise buildings along the water and a promenade, with the old city across the creek and Downtown a short run. It was planned as a district of galleries and museums and became a waterfront address, and it trades as the polished end of the Al Jaddaf shore.
The quarter lies on the creek's southern bank between Al Jaddaf and the Business Bay bridge, with the hotel at its heart, the towers and the canal-side buildings around it and the promenade along the water. Al Jaddaf's working district, with its Metro stations, its school and its hospitals, is behind it and has its own guide.
Apartments from studios to large layouts in the quarter's towers and low-rise buildings, including hotel-branded residences, with the creek in the windows of the better ones. Finish is high in the branded buildings and varies elsewhere.
Buyers who want a flat on the creek with the old city in the window and Downtown a short run, at prices below Downtown's. Owners who intend to let, because the quarter's furnished market is deep. People who work in the old city or the airport.
It suits people less well who want a walkable high street beyond the promenade, or a school in reach.
The quarter's buildings are few enough that each trades on its own record, and the tables on this page should be read building by building; every building has its own page with what its layouts actually fetched. Off-plan is small and is kept apart from resales. For tenants, the official index caps a renewal while a new lease follows the market.
What it costs to buy
