The Best Areas to Live in Dubai for Couples

Which part of Dubai is best for couples? This is a question couples must ask when looking for a place to live in Dubai.

The best neighborhoods in Dubai for couples have all the facilities and amenities they need right within them, close to them or easily accessible from them. In other words, they are near or have the:

     • best things to do in Dubai for couples

     • best places to visit in Dubai for couples

Consider the following neighborhoods in Dubai if you’re looking for the best areas to live in Dubai for couples.

1. Jumeirah Village Circle

South of Jumeirah Village Circle, across Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Rd, lie Dubai Sports City, Dubai Production City, and Motor City. If you and your partner work in these locations, Jumeirah Village Circle is an excellent residential address.

If you work farther out, use Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Al Khail Road, and Hessa Street. to get around. JVC is best if you have a car, as it has no dedicated metro station. However, it is easily accessible by taxis and buses.

The entire neighborhood is dotted with community parks, where you can exercise in the early morning or take a walk to enjoy the cooler evenings. There are many supermarkets in the area, including one in Circle Mall JVC.

Circle Mall JVC has over 80 shops, 40 dining outlets, a mosque, and a cinema. It has a health club with two tennis courts, a gym, and a swimming pool. If you fancy a relaxed evening with your partner or circle of friends, head to the popular Irish watering hole, McCafferty’s. For everything else, you can visit the neighboring communities of Jumeirah Village Triangle and Al Barsha.

One-bedroom properties for sale in Jumeirah Village Circle have listing prices between AED 630,000 and AED 1.2 million. Meanwhile, similar properties for rent in JVC range from AED 69,999 to AED 105,000 per year.

2. Jumeirah Lake Towers

Jumeirah Lake Towers is a mixed residential and commercial area built around man-made lakes. It’s one of the best neighborhoods in Dubai for couples working in JLT, Dubai Marina, Dubai Media City, and Dubai Internet City.

JLT is a well-connected neighborhood. You can do the following:

     • Walk to Dubai Marina using air-conditioned pedestrian walkways.

     • Take the Dubai Tram to Dubai Marina, Dubai Media City, Palm Jumeirah, Knowledge Village, and Al Sufouh.

     • Get on the Red Line from the DMCC Metro Station or Sobha Realty Metro Station.

     • Drive out through Sheikh Zayed Rd.

JLT has two loop-route buses to take you to the metro stations. It is walkable and highly accessible to public transportation, making it an excellent option if you’d rather not drive in Dubai.

JLT has gyms, basketball courts, yoga studios, spas, and many fitness and beauty amenities. It has plenty of restaurants, especially around the lakes, and many small shops and convenience stores. Everything else you need, you can find north in Dubai Marina or south in Jumeirah Heights.

If you and your partner like strolling or jogging on waterfront promenades, playing watersports, shopping, clubbing, taking sunset cruises, partying, and dining out, find a place in Dubai Marina.

Dubai Marina is the center of Dubai’s social scene, so it’s perfect for couples who love to to see and be seen. It has everything you want, whether it be leisure or adventure, in its gorgeous lakefront, beaches, hotels, cafes, restaurants, malls, retail outlets, supermarkets, spas, and gyms.

4. Sobha Hartland

There’s no doubt Downtown Dubai is one of the best places to visit in Dubai for couples.  It’s home to Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain, so it naturally attracts some of the highest foot traffic in Dubai.

Having said that, we urge you to look further south at Sobha Hartland in Mohammed Bin Rashid City. It’s not one of the top places to visit in the emirate, but it can be one of the best neighborhoods in Dubai for couples. Consider it if:

     • You have a car and prefer to drive everywhere. Sobha Hartland has limited public transportation options; there are buses that ply the neighborhood and buses from outside that come close, but private cars are the most convenient option for getting in and out of the area. Bounded by Al Meydan Rd and the arterial highways, Ras Al Khor Rd and Al Ain-Dubai Rd, it’s a good place from which to drive toward the beach or deeper into Dubai.

     • You want value for money. It’s a luxury development, but its inner location (i.e., in the heart of Dubai) means you can get more value for money spent buying or renting here. This also means potential for property appreciation and capital gains.

     • You work nearby. Sobha Hartland borders Downtown Dubai, Dubai Design District and Business Bay. It’s also near Ras Al Khor Industrial Area, Al Quoz, and Dubai Festival City.

     • You want Burj Khalifa views. Its proximity to Downtown Dubai means some apartments offer sweeping Burj Khalifa skyline views.

     • You want to live somewhere quieter and less hectic. Sobha Hartland is way off the beaten path for tourists.

     • You love nature and bird-watching. Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is nearby.

Sobha Hartland is a great neighborhood for couples who want modern and luxurious amenities, easy access to Dubai Downtown, and a quieter inner-Dubai location. Our listings for Burj Khalifa skyline view, one-bedroom Sobha Hartland properties for sale range from AED 1.4 million to AED 1.65 million. One-bedroom Sobha Hartland rentals range from AED 90,000 to AED 120,000 per year.
